Who We Are
Welcome to our genealogy community! We are a friendly group that meets at 1 pm on the first Saturday of every month September through June (except December). Meetings are in person and via Zoom, except the winter sessions (January, February, and March), which are Zoom only. You'll find us at the First Congregational Church UCC, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland. All meetings are free and open to the public.

2025 Maine Genealogical Society Conference
GPCMGS was well represented at this year's conference on August 23, 2025.
It was entitled: A Day With Judy Russell, JD, CG, CGL, FUGA
Judy, better known as "The Legal Genealogist" (www.legalgenealogist.com), is a lecturer, educator, and writer.
She gave four presentations: Putting Those Records to Work, Linking the Generations with Court and Land Records, Courting America: Using Court Records for Genealogy, and Don't Forget the Ladies: A Genealogist's Guide to Women and the Law.
